Are you a passionate and motivated fitness professional ready for your next challenge? Be.Broxbourne is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Fitness and Group Exercise Manager to help lead our fitness services at the Laura Trott Leisure Centre and John Warner Sports Centre.
Working alongside the Fitness Manager, you will play a key role in motivating a talented team, inspiring our members and helping to deliver an innovative, high-quality gym and group exercise experience across two busy centres.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting in managing and motivating the fitness team, including gym instructors and personal trainers
- Coordinating and growing the group exercise programme, monitoring KPIs to maximise participation
- Ensuring fitness and studio equipment is safe, well-maintained and fully operational
- Managing the team of freelance group exercise instructors
- Supervising gym staff and instructors and supporting team meetings, appraisals and training
- Supporting the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of fitness staff and instructors
- Contributing to marketing and sales initiatives, including programme launches and promotional campaigns
- Delivering excellent customer service, responding to enquiries and resolving complaints
- Assisting with budget setting and monitoring for fitness and group exercise services.
This is a multi-site role. A full driving licence and access to suitable transport are required.
This role requires a disclosure and barring service check (DBS) as it is working with children or vulnerable clients.
