Operations Officers/Lifeguards/ On Call Firefighter with Herts Fire and Rescue (Ref: OO)
Laura Trott Leisure Centre, Cheshunt
Salary: Up to £19,760 p.a. (depending on age)
40 hours per week
We welcome unqualified strong swimmers with a positive attitude and a ‘can do’ approach. We will provide training if you are a good swimmer and willing to undertake our Lifeguard training course. Your duties as a lifeguard include setting up and breaking down sports equipment and helping people who visit our centers. You will also be responsible for ensuring centres are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Laura Trott Leisure Centre are pleased to announce they are working in partnership with Cheshunt Fire Station to provide all new staff the chance to apply as an Operations Officer. If successful in the role, there will be an option to apply as an On-Call Firefighter in partnership with Cheshunt Fire Station, working in the local area while carrying out you usual lifeguard duties. We have the added benefit of our own Firefighter Scheme Manager who will offer time and support to our new and existing staff interested in becoming an On-Call Firefighter.
You will have:
- Good swimming ability being able to complete the Lifeguard Course Pre-Requisites
(These can be found on the RLSS website) - A total commitment to customer service
- High standards for cleaning
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- A willingness to be flexible and embrace change.
You will work on a shift pattern that includes evenings and weekends. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
